Boudreau Reunion - Updated July 2001

A gathering of the desendants of:

Sandy Boudreau and Marie-Anne Aucoin

(Sandy á Polite á Venant á Charles á Joseph á German á Francois á Charles á Michel)

Everyone was welcomed - all participants will receive a CD with all of the material on this web site and some additional early Boudreau history provided by David Boudreau a Edmond.

A number of activities were held in the hope that something(s) could be found for everyone.

Friday evening July 6th - Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

  • Drop in/contact point: Albert Boudreau, Coxheath, Nova Scotia.

    Saturday July 7th - Sydney/Louisburg Daytime Option
  • 9:00 Morning visit to Marie Anne's gravesite in St. Anthony Daniels in Sydney. Note that the headstone reads "Mari-Anne".

  • 10:00 o'clock visit to Fortress Louisburg to see Joseph Dugas' House - but the house had been torn down so we have photos of the remains and hope that it will be replaced in a couple of years.

  • Early supper in the Cedar House, Big Bras d'Or.

    Saturday July 7th - Cheticamp Daytime Option
  • All day Family drop-in - Hall behind Church in Cheticamp.

    Saturday July 7th - Evening for Everyone

  • 9:00 p.m. Family get together with entertainment - Hall behind Church in Cheticamp. Leonel and the band (including Roger on the squeeze box) did a fantastic job all night long. Alyssa was beautiful doing the Irish dances. Henri and Albert chipped in on guitar and spoons.

    Sunday - July 8th, Cheticamp, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia

  • 10:00 a.m. High Mass - Cheticamp Church

  • After mass - pictures on the Church Steps - boy was it cold and windy.

  • Vist Sandy/Polite/Venant's gravesites in Cheticamp cemetary

  • After photos - visit to Hippolite's house au Platin before it gets torn down.
