I've been a musician for some time now.... starting with flute & bass when I was 13
then on to sax and guitar at 14.... never looked back

I first got interested in this idea after reading the article on
Fordy's webpage.
Then I noticed on Unreality
that Wolverine from Wicked Assault Maps (WAM)
was looking for musicians.
So the first thing I did, following Fordy's advice, was to make a trip over to
Modplug, to download
Modplug player and Modplug tracker. Then contacted Wolverine to say I'd give it a shot.
Then set out to learn how to use the tracker. :-)
Unfortunately, that project fell to the depths of the unknown, and many of the maps were never completed
I must say it's a different approach than what I'm used to. I'm more familiar with
either a MIDI sequencing or Audio multitracking approach. Using samples and a step based
design format took a bit of getting used too, the closest I can compare it to would be
drum machine programming. Using a guitar to compose and then entering the parts in by hand
I started working on some tunes to submit for consideration.
The completed songs can be heard below using the modplug plugin (also available at
Modplug).
I'm sure more will be coming as this is pretty damned addictive.
*NOTE* to conserve space the files were packed and zipped...so sound quality may suffer some
All tunes are now also available for umx download, zipped of course.
