Creating/Editing Crosshairs

UT uses a 64x64x8(256 color) in pcx format for it's crosshairs....
For a color scheme..
Black is the background and is transparent
White is the main color for the crosshair
Grey can be used in varying shades to produce a translucent effect...
the darker it is, the more transparent....
Create you crosshair (or edit an existing one) in any graphics program that supports pcx files....
Then you need to use UnrealED to create a texture pack
Open UnrealEd, go to View, Texture Browser, File, Import
Point to the directory for you crosshair or crosshairs
(you can highlight them all and do a bulk import to save time)
The you get a Import Texture box
Package-- enter the name of your texture file (I used ZaGhost-X)
Group -- None (you can create seperate groups for different styles if you want)
Name -- Your highlighted file/files will show up here

Uncheck the generate mipmap box!!
If it's checked theycrosshairs will appear blocky (learned this the hard way...took a bit to figure out the cause)
Then hit OK for 1, OK all for a bulk import
Then use the scrollbox, select you newly imported texture file and go File...Save
Then edit your user.ini and you'll have you new crosshairs to play with.
