My Grandparents' Cottage

The cottage and the lupines

Stunning, isn't it? Lupines are a weed, but they're one of the prettiest, I think. My grandfather used to travel around the Maritimes, scattering seeds in ditches wherever he went. Some years ago, the CBC did a piece on him, naming him Johnny Lupineseed. For years after that, mail could arrive with no more address than "Johnny Lupineseed, PEI" and it would get to him!
