The StarSkate program is offered to those skaters just out of CanSkate, although completing the CanSkate program is not a requirement to enter this level of skating.
Skaters will be taught in a group lesson format and may choose to take tests, which are evaluated by Skate Canada evaluators.
Skaters enrolled in the Starskate program have an opportunity to achieve personal growth and development by participating in a high quality program that teaches the fundamentals of figure skating in a progressive and sequential manner.
Each week skaters will receive
1 Free Skate group lesson
1 Skill group lesson
1 Dance group lesson
These lessons are 15 minutes long and are taught by professional coaches. Each skater will also receive a 10 minute Creative Skill lesson involving stroking or theater creativity.
