Text: BLAZEY, Helen Catherine - 82, 65 Ferris St., Sydney, died July 12, 1993, in Sydney City Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Paruch) Blazey. She was a member of St. Mary's Polish Parish, Sydney. She had been a housekeeper, working for the late Father Leo O'Connell for 38 years, retiring in 1969. She is survived by three sisters, Stella Cholock, Frances Blazey, both of Sydney; Sophie Quinn, Halifax. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter, Joseph; two sisters in infancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney. Funeral will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, Sydney, Rev. Michael Szwej officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks

Text: BLAZEY, Frances - 79, Northwood Centre, Halifax, formerly of Sydney, died October 22, 1994, in the centre. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Paruch) Blazey. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Halifax and St. Mary's Polish Church, Sydney. She was a retired Sydney City Hospital employee. She is survived by a daughter, Theresa (Mrs. Ralph Morrison), Dartmouth; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sophie Quinn, Dartmouth; Mrs. Stella Cholock, Sydney. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph, Walter; three sisters, Helen, two in infancy. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Polish Church, Sydney. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birthright Pregnancy Service, Halifax or any charity.

Text: COLSON, Josephine Gertrude (Jo) - 63, Redden Avenue, New Minas, formerly of Dartmouth, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 14, 1998, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a gracious battle with cancer. Born in Wolfville, she was the eldest daughter of D. Marion (Jordan) Atwell, Hantsport, and the late Colin Frank Atwell. She was most recently a member of Wolfville United Baptist Church and was formerly involved in church activities in Dartmouth, including the Women's Missionary Union and the World Wide Guild. She was a faithful supporter of World Wide Marriage Encounter, Junior Achievement Activities and numerous business organizations. She was employed with the Royal Bank of Canada, human resources, Halifax, from 1967 to 1986 before purchasing the "Knit and Stitch Ltd." fabric shop in New Minas in 1986, which she operated until the time of her death. She was a well-respected community and business person. She was also an avid bridge player. Her other loves included travelling and more recently sailing. She is survived by sons, Kenneth Leslie and wife Cathy, Fernie, B.C.; Eoin Jeffrey and wife Theresa Denham, Dartmouth; Douglas Lloyd and wife Joanne (Paruch), Mineville; grandchildren, Craig Douglas Colson, Colin Edward Colson and Christopher Denham; sisters, Joyce (Mrs. Karl Nowlan), Falmouth; Geneva (Mrs. Phillip Long), New Minas; June (Mrs. Earnest Morine), Greenwich, Kings Co.; Colleen (Mrs. George Hovell), West Palm Beach, Fla.; Sharron (Mrs. Doug Walsh), Forest Hill, N.S.; Sandra (Mrs. Brian Tennyson), Sydney; Theresa (Mrs. Robert Edwards), Cranbrook, B.C.; many nieces and nephews; four step-children and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter John (Jack) Colson; daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Colson. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.C. Glace Bay – Mrs. Lloyd Hall, 63, died Wednesday, March 28, 1984 at the Missassauga General Hospital in Missassauga, Ont.Mrs. Hall was born in Glace Bay and resided in Missassauga for the past ten years. She was the former Hilda Ogley of Tenth St., New Aberdeen. While here she was a member of St. John's Parish. Twice married she was predeceased by her first husband Albert MacMullin. Mrs. Joseph MacDonald; (Beverley) Mrs. Tom Arnot, both of Missassauga
(Karen) Mrs. Bob Martin, of Glace Bay; and (Sandra) Mrs. Tom MacKenzie, of Glace Bay; sons Earl Hall and Ralph Hall, both of Glace Bay. There are 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers John and Walter and by sisters Sara and Lena. The Funeral and burial will take place in Missassauga. Her two sons and daughter Mrs. Karen Martin are in Missassauga to attend the Funeral.
