Text: Mrs. Veronica Spagnoletti passed away on Thursday evening at her home on Lingan Road. In her 54th year Mrs. Spagnoletti;s death came as a distinct shock to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Natale Spagnolettii, four sons and three daughters. Louis, Geno, Alphonse and Leo: Mrs James Peterson (Anna); Mrs. John Ardelli (Mary), Rita, all of Sydney. She is also survived by a sister Judy Fameville and brothers Jack and Ben in Italy. The remains will repose at the residence of her son Alphonse Spagoletti, 135 Laurier street.

Text: Spagnolatti, Alphonse - 73, 48 MacGuire Dr., Sydney, died December 15, 2000, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Natale and Veronica Spagnolatti. He retired from Sydney Steel in 1985. He was an avid hunte and fisherman and also a member of St. Augustines Church, Sydney.Surviving are sons, Gordie, Eddie, Joey, Sydney; sisters, Mary Ardelli, Anna Peterson; brothers, Louie, Geno, Sydney; one grandson. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary Margaret (Arsenault); brother, Leo; sister, Rita. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday in T,W, Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Augustines Church, Grand Lake Rd., Rev. Atwood officiating. Burial in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Gino on May 24,
2003, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
He us survived by loving spouse, Judy Crane and her four children,
Arthur, Kim, Lindsay and Gina; his daughter, Gina (Wayne) and his
grandson, Adam; his daughter, Bernadette Smith and her son, Gerald
(Marilyn) Smith; great-granddaughter, Lily and Grandson, Steve Burris.
Also surviving are his brother, Louis (Hattie) Spagnolatti and his
sister, Anna (Jim) Petterson. He is survived by numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was predeaced by his father, Natale and his mother, Veronica; as
well as his sisters, Mary and Rita and brothers, Alphonse and Leo and
a grandson, Andrew.
Gino had a positive influence on all he met, friends and relatives
alike. Gino was a caring, fun-loving, good person. He will be fondly
remembered.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass
will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Holy Redeemer
Church.

Text: Walter J. Pierrynowski, 51, of 249 Whitney Avenue, Sydney, an employee of the blast furnace department of the Sydney Steel Plant for some 31 years, died Thursday in the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pierrynowski. Surviving are his wife, the former Sophia Kokoshki; two daughters, Josephine and Diane (Mrs. Vincent Buckland); one son, Robert, all at home; four brothers, Steve, Mike, Teofil, all of Sydney; Joe, Welland, Ont.; four sisters, Mary (Mrs. Maria Topeliato), Rose (Mrs. Harry Hodgson), Niagara Falls, Ont.; Victoria (Mrs. Frank Barrington), and Anne (Mrs. Donald MacDonald), of Sydney. The body is at the T.W. Curry Funeral Home, Parkview Chapel,Sydney. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Theresa's Church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
