Text:   SWARTZACK, Olga Frances - 71, Valleyview Complex, 15 Nolan's Lane, Glace Bay, died December 8, 1992, in Glace Bay General Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Yuros) Michalik. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish. She is survived by four daughters, Jeanette (Mrs. Michael MacDonald), Margaret (Mrs. James MacIntyre), Lillian Boutilier, all of Glace Bay; Anne (Mrs. Mario Facchin), Dominion; brother, Frank, Glace Bay; two sisters, Cecilia (Mrs. Bob Bowser), Sydney; Mrs. Mary Niedzielski, Sydney; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony; daughter, Loretta; six brothers, Albert, Stanley, Joseph, Gussie, Eddie, Laddie; three infant sisters. The body is in Curry's Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Glace Bay, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Baptist Church, Rev. Jake Andrea officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.

Text:   STANISLOW, Francis Joseph - 87, formerly of 16 Stanley St., Glace Bay, died February 22, 1996, in Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born at Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stanislow Michalik. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, and a former member of Holy Name Society. He was a retired employee of Dominion Coal Company. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Violet Griffin; sons, Francis Timothy, Dartmouth; Charles Joseph, Oakville, Ont.; daughters, Mary Dora (Mrs. Rannie Lee), Sydney; Anne Caroline (Mrs. Arthur Campbell), Ottawa; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Patrick; brothers, Joseph, Micky, Gussie, Albert, Larry, Edward; sisters, Mary, Olga, Cecilia. Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Church, Rev. James McIntyre officiating. Burial in Forest Haven Cemetery.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Audrey Fraser; sister, Olga Swartzack; five brothers, Stanley, Joe, Albert, Edward, Gussie. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Church, Sydney, Rev. Alexander MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Born in Birch Grove, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary C. Koziel. He was a member of St. Mary's parish, Big Pond. He had been employed as a coal miner at No. 1-B pit, Glace Bay for over 20 years, retiring in 1953. He is survived by four sons, Joseph Jr., Dartmouth; Ray, Howie Centre; Bill, Sydney; Ted, Toronto; sister, Mrs. Christine Swartzack, Glace Bay; brother, Albert, Glace Bay; Frank, Quebec; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Audrey Fraser; brother, Victor; sister, Millie. The body is in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, visiting 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday, Rev. George MacInnis officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

Text:   Glace Bay - Stanley Michalik, 86, of 66 Douglas Ave., Glace Bay, died Saturday in Glace Bay General Hospital. Born in Poland, he was a son of the late Stanley and Yurich Michalik. He had been employed with the Dominion Coal Company for 49 years. He was member of Holy cross parish, the Glace Bay Pehsioners Club and
the Coal Town Band. He taught violin for many years. He had been a guide in the Miner's Museum. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Kennedy; four daughters, Angela, and Mrs. Martha Ward, both of Glace Bay; Sophie (Mrs. Frank
Jones), New Waterford; and Mary, Halifax; two sons, Stan Jr. and Walter, both of Glace Bay; four stepdaughters, Thersa (Mrs. Michael Southwell), Frances (Mrs. Michael MacNeil), both of Glace Bay; Hazel (Mrs. Danny MacIntyre), Sydney; and Lorraine (Mrs. Gus MacIntyre), Grand Mira; five stepsons, Hector, Birch Grove; Robert, Roy, Thomas and William, all of Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Niedzielskia and Mrs. Cecelia Koziel, both of Sydney; Mrs Olga Swartzwack, Glace Bay; two brothers, Gus and Frank, both of Glace Bay; nine grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Angela Szweda; four brothers, Edward, Larry, Joseph and Albert.The body is in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
