Text: The death occurred Saturday evening in the City Hospital of Mrs. Effie Bobleyk, 64 of 59 Frederick Steet, Whitney Pier. Her passing followed a general illness and will be regretted by her many friends and acquaintances. Her husband predeceased her a number of years ago and she is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Joseph Didyk (Mary); Mrs. Albert Kokochi (Sophie), both in Sydney; three sons, Michael, Peter and John, all in this city. The remains are reposing at her late residence and the funeral will be held from there on Tuesday morning to the Holy Ghost Ukrainian
Catholic church, and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The deaceasesed was born in Austria and resided in Sydney for the past 36 ?? years.

Text: Didyk, Mary - 79, 74 East St., Sydney, died Wednesday in Sydney City Hospital. Born in the Ukraine, she was a daughter of the late Stefan and Effie (Jasinski) Bobyk. She was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Whitney Pier. She is survived by two sons, Joseph, Ottawa; Steve, Sydney; a sister, Mrs. Sophie Kokocki, Sydney; four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; three brothers, Michael, Peter, John; two sisters in infancy/ The body is in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney, where a Panahyda prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. today. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rev. Ivan Mostsiwsky offciating. Burial will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

Text: Sydney - Michael Bobyk, 75, of 17 Swan Street, Sydney, died Wednesday in Sydney City Hospital. He was born on the Ukraine. He lived in Sydney for 70 years. He was a retired steel worker having worked in the blast furnace department. He is survived by a son Michael (Buddy), Mississaga, Ont.; a daughter Irene (Mrs. Cam MacNeil), Sydney; two brothers, Peter, Dartmouth; John, Sydney; two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Josdeph Bidyk (sic), Sydney; Mrs Sophie Kokocki, both of Sydney; five grandchildren; one great grandchild. The body will be in T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel, after 7 pm, today. Prayer service will be held 7 pm, Friday, from the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10 am, Saturday, from Holy Ghost Church, Rev. Edward Yarema Officiating. Burial in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
