Text: MacARTHUR, Helen - 70, 183 Monteith Ave., Westmount, died July 7, 1994, in Sydney Community Health Centre. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Trojan) Bereta. She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, Westmount; Westside Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a longtime member of Westmount Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was employed for 12 years at Spring Garden Villa. She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Stella, at home; son, Joseph, Albert Bridge; brother, Edward, Sydney; two sisters, Vicky
(Mrs. Gerald Nichols), Sydney; Caroline (Mrs. Stan Anczurowski), Montreal; two granddaughters. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Rosary Church, Rev. Dan MacInnis officiating. Burial will follow in parish cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.

Text: Glace Bay - Walter Ogley, 61, Glace Bay, was buried here in St. John's cemetery following funeral services. He was a vetern of World War II and was employed with the Dominion Coal Company until his retirement in 1953. He is survived by his second wife, Ann (Martin); 13 sons, Thomas, Max, Butch, Patrick and Joseph, all in Ontario; Melvin, Antigonish; Charles, Billy, Lloyd, Barry, Paul, Bernie and Blaine, all at home; seven daughters, Norma (Mrs. Dan MacNeil), Antigonish; Kay (Mrs Morris Smith), in Ontario; Beatrice, Hilda, Martha, Karen and Bernadette, all
at home; one brother, John and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Hall, both in Glace Bay; 26 grandchildren; two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Martha (MacDougall)

Text: New Waterford, Oct 19. The death occurred here today at his residence, Union Highway, Scotchtown, of Joseph Krolichek, 74, native of Czeckoslovakia but for
the past 34 years a resident of this mining town. Down through the years he was
employed in various New Waterford mines. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Krolichey, Sr., Czeckoslovakia. Surviving are one son and two daughters. They are Emil, Mrs. A. Podgurski and Mrs. Angus Matlock, still residing in Scotchtown. A sister, Mrs Frank Filek, Sydney, also survives. Several brothers and sisters residing in Czechoslovakia also survive. The funeral will take place tuesday morning to St. Michael's Church where Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 9 O'clock. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cementery. The funeral will be under the direction of McGillivary and Dunlop Funeral Homes.

Text: Mary Loretta MacDougall 77, New Waterford It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Loretta MacDougall of 414-12th St., New Waterford, Oct. 27, 2006, at New Waterford Hospital. Born in New Waterford,
she was the wife of the late Joseph MacDougall and the daughter of the late
Hubert and Beatrice (Boudreau) Muise. She was a member of Mount Carmel
Church, New Waterford. Loretta was a member of the Schizophrenia Society
and was an avid skater until her early 70s. She also enjoyed music, dancing
and shopping. Loretta was a very loving person who was always surrounded by several family members and friends. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Lenus)
Gale, New Waterford, Rhonda, at home, Joanne (Lorry) Tighe, Dartmouth;
sons, Roddy (Mary), Dartmouth, Brian (Selina), Ontario; sisters, Lillian MacEachern, Martha (Vince) MacCormick, Anna (Melvin) Cormier, all of New Waterford, Mary (Art) Carruthers, Ontario; brothers, Charles Muise, Hubert Muise, Bernie Muise,
all of New Waterford; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law,
brother-in-law; many nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Joan Muise; very special friend, Lou Mercer. Besides her husband and parents, Loretta was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Willie John, sisters, Cecile, Evelyn and Kay. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. in Mount Carmel Church with burial in the parish cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the Carmel Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
