Nova Scotia's coat of arms.The Native warrior stands for the Aboriginal People of Nova Scotia and the unicorn and the thistle above are both symbols of Scotland. The laurel leaf beside the thistle is the laurel leaf of peace and there is an armored hand shaking hands with the hand of protection.

Nova Scotia's provincial flower is the Mayflower. It is a symbol of being able to stand strong through tough times.

The Osprey is Nova Scotia's provincial bird. It lives in Nova Scotia in the spring and summer and goes south to the United States for the fall and winter.

Green=the forests
Red=the Royal Lion on the Arms of Nova Scotia
