To audition for this dynamic and exciting troupe

Date: Sunday, 27 September 2009
Time: Highland (Jr and Sr.) 10-11am; Step 11am-12pm
Location: Joseph Wallin Studios, 113 Woodlawn Rd, Dartmouth NS

Practice times will be:
Sunday afternoon: Sr. 1:00-3:00pm Jr. – 12:30-1:30pm, Step 2:30-4:00pm


Additional Information

Highland Dancing – Senior Troupe: for dancers age 12-25 (by 30th October) who have reached Premier competitive level or equivalent and know well the long versions of the Highland fling, Sword, Seann Truibhas, Strathspey & Reel of Tulloch, Lilt, Flora, Blue Bonnets, Earl of Errol, Jig and Hornpipe.

Highland Dancing – Junior Troupe: This troupe is for dancers from age 9-13 (by 30th October) who know or are learning the long versions of the Highland fling, Sword, Seann Truibhas, Strathspey & Reel of Tulloch, Lilt, Flora, Blue Bonnets, Earl of Errol, Jig and Hornpipe.

Step Dancing: For dancers age 10-25 (by 30th October) with a minimum of three full years of step dancing lessons. Musicality, presentation and clarity of beats will be very important.

All Amethyst dancers are required to attend weekly classes in their specialty, in addition to attending regular Amethyst practices

Dancers may audition for more than one troupe, with an adjustment in applicable fees.

Fees: There are costume and rehearsal fees due. The fee structure for 2009/2010 will be available soon.
