     Andrew Leonard is a writer for Wired Magazine, the publishers of his book, Bot the origin of new species. He is also a senior technology correspondent for Salon magazine.  He writes about the Open Source Movement for Salon, and has written and published a site on the Web called The Secret Files of Bill Gates that so infuriated Bill Gates that Gates wrote a letter to Leonard’s father.  Leonard describes himself as a technocultural hack, writing everything for press releases for new software to his regular articles for Salon and Wired.  He describes his two obsessions an bots and his daughter. Bots the origin of a new species was his first book.  He is working on a second book, The Free Software Movement, that has already been accepted by aNew York publishing house.
