My name is GR Matheson and I am NOT an asshole!!!
(anyone who knows me will see the humour in that).

I set this site up so that friends and family can see what I've been up to and to also use as a Resume if ever I feel the need to use it that way (did that make any sense).

If you don't know who I am then I will give you the lowdown. As you probably already guesses, yes, I am a drummer, I live in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada (or as I like to call it, Halifax). I was 24 on my twenty-fourth birthday and I have been playing drums since I was nine.

Influences include: Buddy Rich, Scott Travis, Tomas Haake, Eric Singer, Peter Criss, John & Jason Bonham, Dave Weckl and the list goes on.

Bands I have been listening to lately include: Meshuggah, Nocturnal Rites, Edguy, Dream Evil, Nevermore, 3 Inches of Blood, Mastodon, Shadow's Fall, Wolf, Nightwish, Lamb of God, Tarot, Iced Earth, King Diamond and I've recently re-found Dio.
