During the 1980's British Rail went through a dramatic transformation. The corporate blue and grey disappeared, to be replaced by a multitude of different sector liveries. Going back through my old photos taken as a trainspotter in the early 80's I wish I've taken far more of the trains and events that I took for granted. I have started to scan as many of my pictures as possible and to share them with any interested in this often neglected era in British Rail's history.
