Dartmouth Says Farewell

This Summer we say farewell to Captain Sean and Major Marilyn (the Fureys). We wish them God's best and they are transferred to Channel-Port aux Basques Newfoundland. Sean and Marilyn have been with us, and part of our family for nine years. We will miss them.

Our New Officers - Lieutenants Gillard

Lance was born and raised in Englee, NL and spent 10 years in the Canadian Navy in Esquimalt, BC and then 3 years in the Air Force as a firefighter in Greenwood, NS before being called to officership.

Monika was born in Germany, but spent most of her life in Greenwood, NS teaching east coast step dancing and clogging. She spent 6 years in the Canadian Navy in Esquimalt, BC and 7 months in the reserve Air Force as a Resource Management Support Clerk before being called to officership.

They have three wonderful boys, Ethan (age 12), Elijah (age 7) and Ewan (age 5) who keep them on their toes. They love the great outdoors, camping, hiking, biking and having fun.

They came to CFOT in 2010 from Kentville Corps, NS. During their two years at CFOT they have learned many things and realized that God will use them right where they are. As their journey takes them to Dartmouth Community Church they are excited to continue to follow God's will for their lives and meet their new family and community in Dartmouth, NS.

Precious Moments

Bible Study

All moms and their children from birth to age 5 are invited to join us for fun every Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.  If you know of any ladies with young children who would benefit please invite them to join with us.  On May 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. the Moms & Tots' will be going to the Cole Harbour Place for swimming.  "Little Swimmers" will be provided for those tots that need it.  If any volunteers are able to come out and give the moms a hand it would be appreciated.  On May 31st we will be having a police officer coming in to do fingerprinting of the children.  This is a valuable tool if the worst possible event (abduction of children) should occur. Our final meeting will be June 7th.

Bible Study will continue on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m. as well as on Tuesday afternoons at 2:30 p.m.  Prayer and Bible study is vital for every Christian.  We invite you to join with us as we study God's Word.  Please check the calendar for final dates

Women's Conference

On June 1st to 3rd, six of our ladies will be away at Women's Conference being held in Moncton.  Please be in prayer for these ladies

Women's Fellowship

A Bean Supper and Bake Sale will be held on May 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Supper is only $5.00 a plate.  Please come out and support our ladies. Our annual closing will take place on May 23rd   Time and place to be announced at a later date.  All the ladies of corps are invited to join with us.  This will be our last chance to meet together before folk start leaving for their cottages.  A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board
