Biomass products are generally sold in two
distinctive forms: Whole Tree Chips and also a Multi Fiber Blend.
To produce whole tree chip material, trees are cut at the base of
the trunk and sent through a chipper with branches and bark intact.
Additionally, horizontal grinders maybe used to reduce the tree.
This method achieves the same end product, but in a longer, more
fibrous form.

Often, source material cannot be found in the quantities required to
achieve a full or viable load of biomass material. Similarly,
biomass material in the form of sawdust, bark, wood grindings, and
clean wood cutoffs can often be found in small quantities.
When source material is combined and consolidated, the result is a
“fiber cocktail”. Compared to whole tree chips, multi fiber blends
can be just as effective as an alternative fuel source, and at an
even more cost-effective price.
