In 1900 Jasper, along with his wife Susan Matilda (Bauld) and children moved near Pense, Saskatachewan. He applied for two Dominion land grants. Meridian W2, Range 24, Township 13, Section 34, Part SE ref (liber: 311, folio: 221, file reel number: C-6181) and Meridian W2, Range 23, Township 17, section 16, part SE ref (liber: 217, folio: 118, file reel number : C-6104). His sons' David and Archibald had land grants in the 17 Township as well. The second land grant was probably in Brier Crest which is located south west of Regina and south east of Moose Jaw. There were 59 individuals (excluding Hudson Bay and CNR) who held land grants in Township 17.spouse: >Bauld, Susan Matilda (1847 - 1932)They later moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1911/12.
