In 1900 Jasper, along with his wife Susan Matilda (Bauld) and children moved near Pense, Saskatachewan. He applied for two Dominion land grants. Meridian W2, Range 24, Township 13, Section 34, Part SE ref (liber: 311, folio: 221, file reel number: C-6181) and Meridian W2, Range 23, Township 17, section 16, part SE ref (liber: 217, folio: 118, file reel number : C-6104). His sons' David and Archibald had land grants in the 17 Township as well. The second land grant was probably in Brier Crest which is located south west of Regina and south east of Moose Jaw. They later moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1911/12. Some of his children followed him to BC. David, Harris, Archibald (Archie) and a daughter (probably Margaret Elizabaeth) moved to BC at differend times.
