We are Louella & John (Jean) Levasseur, the owners of this quaint café. We originated from Edmundston, N.B., stopping in Quebec, B.C., & Ont., before settling in N.S. in 2000. Our daughter Michele, grandson Alex & son in law Mark live in Ont. We have an extended "family" of friends, here in Musquodoboit Harbour. The BearDen Café was a make work project for us, since we had ended an employment and needed to start over at 60. We both enjoy cooking and entertaining. What better way to do it, than opening a café. A place where friends meet to share a coffee & friendly conversation, and keep up with what's going on in the community. A place where tourists & visitors can enjoy meeting local people, from our community, and hear their many stories. A place, where someone can reminisce about the good old days. What better way to do it, than in the Bear Den's kitchen, where family and friends are waiting to share a coffee and story with those who "COME FROM AWAY".
